What is a coin?

One coin buys one exchange with the BoardRoom coach — a strategic briefing, or a reply in the conversation. A $5 pack includes 50 coins. There's no subscription and coins don't expire.

Where's my license key?

It arrives by email from Lemon Squeezy right after checkout, and it's also on the receipt page. Check spam if you don't see it within a few minutes. Paste it into Settings on this site to unlock the coach.

My key isn't working.

Three things to check: paste the whole key with no leading or trailing spaces; make sure you're on ratemyboss.dev and not a preview link; and hit Check balance in Settings to see what the server reports. If it still fails, email us with your order number and we'll sort it out.

How do I see how many coins I have left?

The coach panel shows a 🪙 badge with your balance, and Settings has a Check balance button. Checking your balance never spends a coin.

I use more than one device.

Your coins live with the license key, not the browser — paste the same key anywhere and your balance follows you. Note that the coach's session notes are stored per-browser, so it won't remember previous conversations on a new device.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. If the coach doesn't work for you, email within 14 days of purchase and we'll refund the pack, no argument — just include your order number. If something broke on our end, tell us and we'll refund regardless of timing.

What do you store about me?

On our side: nothing. There's no account, no database, and no user table. Your license key, coach conversations, and session notes are all kept in your own browser's local storage. Clearing your browser data clears them — your coins survive, because those live with the license key.

Is my situation sent anywhere?

When you use the coach, the text you write is sent to Anthropic's API to generate the reply, and to Lemon Squeezy we send only your license key to spend a coin — never your conversation. Nothing is stored on our servers afterwards. Don't paste anything you wouldn't put in an email.

Is the leaderboard real?

Not yet — the Hall of Fame & Shame currently shows fictional examples while public submissions are being built. Nothing there refers to a real person.
